Abstract
Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) represents a growing spectrum of liver disorders, ranging from simple hepatic steatosis to Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH), the more progressive and deleterious form. NASH is characterized by the presence of hepatic fat accumulation alongside inflammation, hepatocyte ballooning, and varying degrees of fibrosis, and may progress to cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma if left untreated. The increasing prevalence of NAFLD and NASH worldwide parallels the global rise in obesity, insulin resistance, and metabolic syndrome
